Nekpen Obasogie: Master's Thesis

I submitted my Master's Thesis (two-year master's of social work) on April 24th,  2019 at York University. The actual article is pending for publication. Meanwhile, I will like to share this quote from the paper The Canadian government has implemented a variety of discriminatory immigration policies over these years in order to exclude some groups of refugees from entering the country.  Despite the Liberal criticism of the previous Conservative government, the same pattern of exclusionary refugee policy is entrenched under the current administration of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government. The recent quest to impede Nigerian refugees from entering Canada reflects the many previous immigration and/or refugee policies that have restricted refugees from exercising the freedom of mobility right to enter the country. Nekpen Obasogie's Summer Hairdo

I did the make-up and the ponytail hairstyle by myself. Every woman should learn how to do basic make-up and simple hairstyles at home. Is good to be self-reliant in this area because, it's a part of women's self-care. I always make these hairstyles during summer time every year. In most cases, I do braiding when I am in Motherland, Nigeria. It helps to bring out my face and reduce heat. Unlike some hair wigs that will cover more than 30% of my face. These hairstyles are compatible with summer weather.  By Nekpen Obasogie

I feel blessed to be recognized along with several other dedicated mothers who are going beyond the role of motherhood and shattering glass ceilings. My honor to MPP Faisal Hassan (York South-Weston) for attending and presenting the trophies to the awardees. Councillor, Jim Karygiannis presented 10 awards to the award reciptients. Special thanks to the organizer of this event, sister Ngozi Gertie Ugoh and Jim Karygiannis (Councillor) for making this event a memorable one in my life. By Nekpen Obasogie

Nekpen Obasogie's New TV Show In Nigeria: NEBO TV

I am in motherland working with my people in Edo state. As we all know, charity begins at home. We recently made some changes to AWE Talk Show. We changed the name to NEBO TV.  For more clarification, NEBO is the abbreviation of my names. The new changes will give preference to people to broadcast their shows under NEBO TV. We are currently recruiting presenters in Nigeria who will be broadcasting and representing NEBO TV in the country. I don't have to travel to Nigeria to cover shows and other programs. Anyway, I'm currently working on the history of colonial (British people and the Portuguese) relationship with the Great Benin kingdom and  Oba Ewuare I and II. What a great history! The legacy and proclamations of Oba Ewuare Ogidigan I who ruled the Great Benin kingdom during the 1400 century. The present Oba of Benin is believed to be the reincarnation of  Oba Ewuare I. A must watch history documentary. By Nekpen Obasogie  High Priest Osemwegie Eboho...
