On behalf of the Organizing Committee of Edo Language Day Worldwide, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the 2025 Edo Language Day celebration. Your commitment has been vital in preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edo State. Thank you to all our sponsors, including the University of Toronto, the media outlets that covered our event, the Edo State Ministry of Arts and Culture, Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, as well as the dignitaries from the United States and Canada, and all participants in this year's celebration. We appreciate your continued support as we strive to promote and preserve the Edo indigenous language worldwide.

The 2024 Edo Language Day Worldwide program, with the theme of the Renaissance of Edo Indigenous Languages , was successfully organized in Canada on August 10, 2024. Cultural Splendor: Lady Nekpen Obasogie's Colorful Birthday Party in Toronto, Canada

Lady Nekpen Obasogie's cultural birthday party in Toronto on August 9th & 10th, 2024. Her 50th birthday was celebrated simultaneously in Canada and Edo State on both days. The birthday showcases the colorful and cultural splendor of the Benin/Edo people. The elders in her group dedicated a special song of commendation (encomium) to her!
