Senator Neda Imasuen, representing the Edo South Senatorial District, visited the Queen Idia House Art Gallery in Toronto, Ontario, on November 8th, 2025. The reception was truly mesmerizing. He was accompanied by Hon. Taju Omoruyi, Hon. Bright Osayande, and several others. The brief time they spent at the Art Gallery was certainly worthwhile.

I was genuinely honored to receive the Canadian International Black Women of Excellence (CIBWE) award, which aims to uplift and empower Black women in Canada by celebrating their remarkable achievements and contributions across various fields. The award ceremony took place on October 25th, 2025. Our cultural presentation was a splendid tribute to our heritage. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary Edo women who consistently stand by my side at every event. Your unwavering support and generosity are invaluable, and together, we can achieve greatness.

I had a wonderful experience attending and contributing to Budget TO this year, alongside the Mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow. I clearly articulated several concerns that affect the Nigerian community in Toronto, ensuring that my voice was heard. It is crucial for us to have a place at the decision-making table in this country!  Nekpen Obasogie

It is about finding the hidden Messi and Ronaldo in our streets and villages! Let's support this great initiative. Let's come out to cheer our teams. The Edo Cultural Heritage Commission in North America is an exemplary initiative dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Edo people. Our mission is to strengthen cultural connections within the Edo community in North America and Edo State.  We are thrilled to announce our inaugural global event, which will take place both online and in-person in Toronto on Saturday Nov. 22, 2025 at 5 pm Nigerian time, 11 am Eastern time. This event will introduce the proposal and mapping of the Edo Cultural Heritage Centre in Toronto. The centre will feature an Edo-based art gallery (museum), organize workshops for Black youth and children, facilitate exchange programs between North America and Edo State, support Black artists, sculptors, the entertainment industry, and more.    Hosting by Nekpen Obasogie
