Register for Youth Talent & Fashion Show in Toronto, August 9, 2025 at Edo Language Day

  Registration is now open for youth to participate in the Talent and Fashion Show at the 2025 Edo Language Day program in Toronto. The event will take place on August 9th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, located at 399 The West Mall, M9C 2Y2. We are looking for dancers, singers, and fashion show participants. 2025 Edo Language Day, in Partnership with University of Toronto & University of Lagos

The Organizing Committee of Edo Language Day Worldwide is We are thrilled to announce the third edition of 2025 Edo Language Day celebration with the theme: “Voices of Our Ancestors: Preserving the Edo Linguistic Heritage.” The program aims to revive Edo Indigenous languages and dialects worldwide, and the three senatorial districts of Edo State. This includes Esan, Afemai, Ora, Etsako, and other Indigenous dialects. This year’s program will be hosted by the Nigerian Canadian Multicultural Centre, in partnership with OISE/University of Toronto and the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies, University of Lagos. The main event is scheduled to be held in-person on August 9th in Toronto, Canada, and Nigeria  and virtually on August 13th worldwide. The programs will take place in seven locations: Toronto (Canada), Benin City, Auchi, Ekpoma, University of Lagos, Okpella, and Ososo (Edo State, Nigeria).
